*hee*

I opened up my bigbang to start working on it for the day and decided to check the word count.

12345 words.  :)

Almost makes me not want to write more because that is just SUCH a cool word count.  Nah....

oooh, my kind of rumor! I've stayed away from spoilers because I didn't want anything ruined for me but... *sighs happily* I'd love for that to happen. Although it's doubtful it's next week, considering the commercials for the episode- which only leaves, wait there is only 5 episode after that! *eeep*

Supposedly, we will at least see both of them shirtless.

The TW season is FAR too short. On the upside, when TW is over, DW will come shortly after.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
shirtless is good. BOTH of them shirtless is very good. Not as good as pantsless, but I'll take what I can get.

I'm not as big a DW fan as TW. Too often Ten pisses me off

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, they're shirtless in BED...I'll take implied pantsless over nothing.

I'm definitely more of a TW fan, now, but I'm really looking forward to the Doctor's latest companion.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
oh my.. in BED? That implies... all sorts of lovely things. I'm so happy with the gentle way they're moving Ianto and Jack into a relationship, especially the way Ianto's almost leading it!

The spoilers I've been unable to miss about S4 of DW (guest starring former companions) make me want to hurl though. And hurl things

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
I know. It's fantastic. I really like the more dominant Ianto, this season.

Heh. "What duck?" I don't know why I just thought of that.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
I LOVE dominant Ianto because it flies in the face of all the weak emo crap most fanbrats write for him

lol

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
YES! Exactly.

Which is why I really liked the dream of those two I had the other day and felt the need to write that one down. *ahem* Sometimes, I despise my subconscious. Other days, I couldn't be more pleased.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
people forget that Ianto smuggled Lisa out of TW1 and into TW3 and took care of her for a year or whatever without anyone having the slightest clue. not a weak helpless kind of thing to do.

my subconscious gets me into trouble. all the time

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
They really don't give him enough credit.

I've noticed, by the way...

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
I plead the fifth.

You should see some of the started and abandoned story snippets I have, or actually... maybe not

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Heh...you should see some of the plot bunnies hopping around in the corners of my mind, waiting to be unleashed. Talk about mutant...

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
speaking as the woman who wrote a drabble between Janet the Weevil and Diefenbaker the deaf wolf... or the implied slash between Ducky and Jack (DUCKY!!!) believe me when I say i am familiar with the mutant plotbunny

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
LOL...I forgot about the Janet and Dief fic. I'm ignoring the Jack/Ducky.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
probably for the best.

crap. I'm was trying to get my bigbang to 14k before going to bed tonight. I still have almost 500 words to go

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, well...we spent a lot of time throwing fish back and forth at one another, so to speak.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
ah, the fun of flying fish. oh well. I have until March 15 till the rough draft (of 20k) is due

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, dear. I see an icon in the near future.

That is a lot of words.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
20k is terribly scary. Although the 6k I have left is not so bad. Now if I could just figure out where the heck the story was GOING.

My premise when I started was 'haunted lake is really inhabited by aliens. Jack investigates" (Haunted lake being a lake I grew up near- lots of scientific oddities and myths around it)

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
Bah. Who really needs to know where a story's going? They usually lead you in the right direction eventually.

That sounds awesome.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
It took me FOREVER to actually start to think about WHAT the alien was, etc.

To help with length (think *pad the story*) It's half in flashbacks about when he was there the first time. The story also has an OC I introduced in another fic which'll help add word count

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
All I could think was Loch Ness Monster, which is entirely my roommate's fault.

Ooo...I like Jack's flashbacks.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't want it to be TOO trite or commonplace. I haven't worked out all the details yet. It would be easier if I wrote that way but.. oh well, one can only do what the muse tells us to do

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. The muse demands we listen.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
stupid bloody muse. Well, I'm giving up at only 13,559. screw it, I'll try again tommorrow
