Differing Techniques

Title: Differing Techniques
Pairing/Warning/Rating: NCIS fandom, no pairings, rated G
Word Count: 100
Summary: Ducky realizes something about Gibbs and DiNozzo.
Author's Note: Written for the [livejournal.com profile] ncisdrabble100  challenge: chemistry

Ducky was used to Jethro’s way of riding roughshod over anyone who came between him and a case.  It was unfortunate; ruffled feathers and bruised egos rarely resulted in comfortable working conditions when jurisdiction had to be shared.  Interdepartmental cooperation was not his friend’s forte.

Detective DiNozzo however....  The man’s natural charm and charisma drew the local detectives and NCIS agents together, combining the strengths of both agencies in so seamless a manner that it went unnoticed by nearly everyone.  Other than himself and Jethro.

“What do you think, Duck?”

“Planning on hiring him, Jethro?  Yes, he should do nicely.”

I like the sense of them working together. I'm starting to get that they've known each other a long time, and that's pretty neat. I can completely hear Ducky's voice here.
