Q: would you go with 'the Doctor' or 'The Doctor' in the middle of a sentence?

lower case t. i.e. Have you seen the Doctor?

For me it's house. Even when I mean a place where people live, my fingers/subconscious tencd to come up with "House."

I don't just capitalise it when I'm typing/talking online though, I do it when I'm writing stuff up in work - "discussed with The Doctor" being a frequent occurrence in my nursing notes. Funnily enough, only a couple of people have noticed and they're both Doctor Who fans...

Partly it happens because I can't remember names, so every single Doctor on the ward is The Doctor - which means about 4 of them - so yes it does happen a lot. All of us 'in the know' as it were find it amusing and would find a Who conspiracy even more so.

Sadly one of the Who fans is leaving for Australia soon, but at least I managed to turn her into a Jack Harkness addict and a live journal lurker before she goes
