Oh NCIS....

I actually really liked it, until those last two seconds with it's cheesy hackneyed cliffhanger fail of an ending.

*SIGH* Ncis this season, never failing to disappoint.

presumably there will be spoilers in comments

I would have been perfectly happy had they ended it with Tony's shut cell phone.

Otherwise, I really did like the ep too. Tony needs more Abby-hugs I think.

YES! Exactly- that would have been PERFECT and probably one of the best episodes I'd seen in AGES. Actually in YEARS. But no, they had to go for the *shocker* blurgh

and yes- Tony definitely needs more Abby hugs!

I know. They seemed to nail everything (even if I wanted to slap McGee at the beginning). Then they went and did that... *rolls eyes*

Because now I feel like they are going to have "NCIS goes on Safari" next season and I shudder to think about that...

I liked "In the Zone" with Tony and Jardeen in Iraq or where ever, but come on. This is not why we watch. We want simple murders and Navy crimes. Not terrorist cells and confusing triple agents SLs

[identity profile] kateri-e.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
yes, that would have been the best place to end it

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
I know...

Can Gibbs, Tony, Abby, McGee, Ducky and Jimmy all resign and start up a PI firm??

I think it would work. :-)

[identity profile] kateri-e.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
They do like making us think something is going to be great and then giving us that last minute let down.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
I loved the way they included Jimmy in those end office scenes. It brings back the relationship between TOny and Jimmy they alluded to in the episode where Tony was 'in charge' and the two of them met for coffee.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
exactly!! There are several ncis episodes that it's just better to turn off with seconds or minutes to go.

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
I liked it too... Jimmy with his feet propped up reading GSM...

Ooo... I forgot about Gibbs' basement. What's the man going to work on next?

[identity profile] snufflesdbear.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
You nailed it PERFECTLY. Such a disappointment after the good story. Rather contrived feeling, IMHO.

And, did you catch Gibbs smacking Tony's ass in Vance's office when Tony was dismissed? :-))

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Mee!!! I did!!!

It was a love tap. :-)

[identity profile] kateri-e.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Its like the writers have forgotten how to write the end of episodes or that the directors just don't realize they are supposed to wrap up the ep.

O.o

Oh my! That's what I get from grabbing a drink out of the kitchen quickly.

Must watch it again as soon as it's up online.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
OOOh, bet Micheal and Mark liked doing that scene! :)

[identity profile] mylogiceatsyou.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
I might actually watch this episode. Just because if I want to have any interest in the next season I should probably watch the finale. I did watch Tony's fight in the last episode, and that was good. Still not hugely inspired though.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Another boat? Honestly, I'm a little tired of the odd eccentricity of the boat thing. Can't say I'll miss it.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
it really, really is. *sighs*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
Tony has some *great* scenes in this one. FF through the rest, but Tony and Gibbs have some good interaction as well as him and Abby and a great interrogation scene between Tony and Ziva's dad

[identity profile] snufflesdbear.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
Well, he couldn't exactly blow him a kiss, now could he? *GG*

[identity profile] snufflesdbear.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, you must Hopefully someone will cap it or something. Since ny DVD to avi program seems to not know how to work right now.

[identity profile] mylogiceatsyou.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I'll watch it for the Tony and Gibbs and Tony and Abby interaction, if nothing else.

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
I know! He's making room to help Abby start her coffin project. :-)

[identity profile] snufflesdbear.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I am sure the Official Word is that it was a pat on the back. *shakes head* nope, back is LOTS higher than that, guys.

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Just don't watch the last minute after Tony closes his cell phone and all will be good. :-)
