Man decorates basement with $10 worth of Sharpies

When Charlie Kratzer started on the basement art project in his south Lexington home, he was surrounded by walls painted a classic cream. Ten dollars of Magic Marker and Sharpie later, the place was black and cream and drawn all over....

I agree. His breadth of subject matter is impressive too. I got excited when I saw the R2D2! I'd love to draw on my stuff if I thought I could make it look *good*.

Eh, my apartment is so old, I'm sure they're going to rip out everything when I move and replace it all. But I would still like to get my deposit back...

When I think about drawing on the walls, the ability to be consistent with the scale and the drawing style is something that would be hard for me. It's amazing that this guy's basement looks like he drew it all in one sitting!

I was boggled by that as well, he did it seamlessly almost.

You could just draw cartoons and whatnot on butcher's paper and tape it up to the walls or something.
