The Snapshot
Title: The Snapshot
Pairing/Warning/Rating: Jack Harkness/Benton Fraser, none, rated PG
Word Count: 123
Summary: Jack enjoys a moment with Ben
Author's Note: Torchwood/Due South crossover. Written for
travels_in_time
Author's Note #2: The order of the DS/TW crossovers is: Conversations with the Dead, A Mountie, a Wolf, and a Dead Man, The Captain and the Constable, The Wolf at the Door, The Furry Doorstop, followed by Scents and Sensibilities and then this story
Jack propped himself up on one elbow, slowly running his other hand up and down along Ben’s back. Just enough light spilled in from the window to be able to see Ben clearly. He had fallen asleep after their lovemaking and the slightest of smiles remained on his face. Jack brushed an errant lock of hair off Ben’s forehead before leaning over to place a gentle kiss in its place. Sighing in his sleep, Ben burrowed closer to Jack, instinctively seeking the warmth and comfort that Jack provided. Looking at his watch Jack realized he should have reported for duty hours ago, but the real world could wait. This moment of closeness, this snapshot of normalcy, was one to be cherished, not rushed.
