“Jack?  Jack!”

“Pupils even and reactive.”

“Jack, it’s Ianto and Owen, can you hear me?”

“Damn it.  His pulse is all over the place.”

“Jack, look at me.”

“Breathing’s shallow.”

“Jack?  Squeeze my hand.”

“He’s bad off.”

“I can see that, Owen!”

“What the hell was he thinking?”

“You dared him!”

“I didn’t think he’d be stupid enough to do it!”

“Can’t we do something?”

“Give me a minute to think.”

“An IV?”

“I can’t give him coffee through an IV drip!”

“Jack, it’s been two days.  It’s time to give up on your New Year’s resolution and have some coffee.”

You *could* add caffeine to a saline or Hartmann's solution drip... but it's more fun to ingest it in the normal fashion ;-)
