Jack really is my fandom....

I just realized Jack is in nearly every thing I've ever written.

Technically , the only stories he doesn't at least vaguely appear in are:

 the cracked out Janet and Diefenbaker dialogue meme drabble, two Owen and Ianto dialogue drabbles, two of the powdered sugar crack!fics, a Ianto-thinking-about-Jack drabble, and the second thing I ever wrote (a drabble where the team is filling out a missing person's report).  Oh, and I guess, theoretically, Jack's not in the fourth part of the Old Man Series. 

Eight things- with the plot of five still focusing on Jack .  And there are 112 posted stories.  Hmmmmm.....

Aw, thank you. And I think people are happy with their Jack-related presents! Nobody in their right mind complains about Jack!

OK, out of 40 Whoverse fics I’ve got FIVE (Couldn’t Be Happier, Stupid, the two Lorne/Doctor crossovers, and the Lucy/Drusilla crossover) where Jack doesn’t appear. They are all short, either ficlets or drabbles, and of those, there are exactly TWO he’s not mentioned in at all (Stupid and Snow-White and Rose-Red).

There are also two Buffyverse drabbles where obviously Jack’s not mentioned, but those don’t count. :-)

I think Jack is addictive, like chocolate. Out of the fics I have written this year (there's 14 including the H2G2 cross I'm in the process of writing atm) there are 2 in which he's not there in person, but only 1 in which he's not mentioned at all and that is back story for my OFC (which reminds me, I'm now allowed to post it to my own lj).

Obsessed? Moi? Not at all. Like I said, it's an addiction. He's such a great character we can't help but write about him, even if he's not there! Hope there's plenty of room in that Jack is my fandom camp...

yeah... since the other two 'Jack isn't mentioned and doesnt appear' drabbles are powdered sugar alien donut ones (and thus part of TW team interaction) Janet/Dief's really the only one completely absent of Jack. But I think I only managed it because it was crack. I tried and tried to write serious dialogue drabbles for the other non-jack suggestions and failed miserably. So apparently, it's crack, or Jack (or both)

In the words of that great 20th century philosopher, Gretchen Krause: "Ja. So?" There's a reason Jack got his own series: he's just such a fascinatingly complex & enigmatic character, despite the open & forthright facade.
