*sigh*

I understand that people are excited about the recent promotional pictures and promos released for Torchwood, but for people who want to stay spoiler-free its annoying when these things pop up as icons.

grrrr and sigh.....

jeez. i hadn't even thought of that. sorry if i was an offender - i know i have a couple spoilery ones that i've used.

no idea how to reconcile this with the fandom at large... :/

It wasn't any one person in particular. The main issue was when those photos of James Marsters came out and *bam* they were everywhere. Not there's the icons of "the kiss" everywhere as well. It's inevitable, just a bit frustrating, although I acknowledge there is no way to prevent it if you still look at the comms, etc.

I love your Gwen/donut icon though!

Guh. I know! It's how I found out about two of the guest stars (I'm betting you can guess who) and it's really quite annoying. I mean, I don't really think it's necessary to construct icon use around us crazy people, I think it's king of common courtesy not to use icons from things that haven't aired anywhere.

*breathes* Longwinded? Me? Nah!

Exactly. I can see it from their perspective, they're all excited and everything. But still... *sigh*

I suppose the general opinion is that it can't really be considered a spoiler if it can sneak up on you while you're innocently watching television. It is rather inconsiderate, though.

that's a good point. Well, for the ones from the commercials anyway.

*sighs more*

there should be a rule about only using those in already established spoiler posts.

It would be hard to enforce, but that would be nice

Well you know where I stand on that don't you?

*growls loudly*

Surprise spoilers are no fun, however unintentional D:. I'm often behind on things thanks to location + dialup, so I trip on 'em too.
