LJ question

Since my flist knows everything... does anyone know how to quit watching a community while still being a member? When you join it you can choose to watch it or not and can always click to add watching it later, but I can't figure out how to stop watching without leaving the community and rejoining. Help?

aha- I knew you guys would be able to help! thank you!

I had to experiment a bit (used your alien donut comm, actually) but if you go to Home, then under friends, click "Manage" and then uncheck the box for the comm you want to stop watching, that should do it without removing you from the comm.

Have you tried going to your manage friends page and unclicking the box that says 'friend?'

Should be able to take it off your flist in the manage friends tool.

excellent, that worked, I thought that was for removing me from the comm, not for stopping me from watching it. Thanks!

You are all brilliant, thanks!

excellent! thanks!

You're welcome! (And I did put your alien donut comm back on my flist. Can't miss out on the alien donuts.)

Yes, those pesky alien donuts haven't been slipping through the rift lately, have they? *sigh* We'll have to work on that some more *sighs* and *nudges plot bunny your way*

I have no brain power right now. Darn it all, I am ready to feel better. I don't know what this virusy thing is, but it's persistent. Fever? Check. Nausea? Check. Less energy than the average tree sloth? Check. It's not that bad, I'd just like my brain back now, please.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-01-10 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
you're still under the weather? Sorry. I offer regular earth donuts then.

And when the virus leaves make sure it returns YOUR brain, not just any old brain... we dont want you turning into a zombie on us

Thanks! ::snatches donuts::

Don't worry, I shall accept no substitute brains. I'm kinda used to this one.

Unless... you can get your brain and a spare? That could be helpful in certain situations

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-01-10 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Now, there's a thought!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-01-10 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
brain-in-a-jar... just the thing to help you out with writer's block, and, if/when the zombiepocalypse happens, you'll be prepared!

[identity profile] ayankha.livejournal.com 2008-01-10 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
try ginger tea or viniger and club soda... either will flush out your system and then you can go on a quest you rescue your brain... or the virus might run off without it :p

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-01-10 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
I think you may be onto something there. But you know, with my luck, if I had two brains, the information I needed would always be in the OTHER one.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-01-10 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
*drat* I knew there was a flaw in my plan...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-01-10 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
I think I have some ginger tea, now that you mention it. I'll try that, thanks! I hope the virus abandons the brain, or that it's not TOO long a quest.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-01-10 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
maybe the virus will be nice a leave a trail of donut crumbs?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-01-10 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
One can but hope. ...I'm trying to figure out what my brain would leave a trail of and I'm not getting anywhere.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-01-10 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
Brilliant ideas?

Oopy-goop?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-01-10 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
Can I go with "brilliant ideas?" Except I don't want those to fall out.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-01-10 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
but if they are on the donut crumb trail you'll be able to gather them up again!

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-01-10 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
Good point!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-01-10 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
and the ideas will be able to feed off the donut crumbs while waiting so they'll be happy
