John glared at the kettle. Sherlock had sworn he wouldn't use it for any of his experiments, not again, so it should be safe. In theory. But, John was pretty sure he'd heard Sherlock banging about in the kitchen early this morning and there was a vague, funny smell lingering about and what the hell was Sherlock doing with his face? Was that a look of anticipation? Regret? Worry over being discovered?
Sod this.
John grabbed his wallet and headed out for a coffee; assuming the worst where Sherlock was concerned was safest. Besides, they were out of milk anyway.
