The carriage idling outside the graveyard was unremarkable; a Hansom Cab like any other, one of hundreds in the city, there was no reason for anyone to pay it any mind. Nor did anyone give a second glance to the elderly woman who headed to it after paying her respects once the funeral ended.
Mycroft waited until the cab pulled from the kerb before asking, "Are positive this is for the best? We could still include him in our plans."
After removing her wig and shedding the bulky, unkempt coat Mary shook her head. "John will be safer this way."
