And I Beheld

Title: And I Beheld
Fandom/Rating:
Sherlock (BBC), rated G
Word Count: 100 words

Summary:
The four horsemen find a use (or is that being used?)
Author's Note: Written for [livejournal.com profile] watsons_woes JWP#17. A continuation of my Four Horsemen Verse (wherein John rescues 4 kittens and Sherlock names them after the Four Horsemen because of course he does.) Title from Revelation 6:5 (King James Bible version).

Sherlock examined John carefully. Tightness to the brow. Clenched jaw. Posture three degrees straighter than standard. Slight tremor in the... Oh.

Easily diagnosing that John's wounds, both mental and physical, were causing him discomfort. Sherlock would normally ignore it, but his plans for tonight's case required an assistant, what to do?

Offers of alcohol and/or drugs were considered and summarily discarded.

Scooping the four horsemen up, Sherlock dumped them on John's lap. "Studies suggest kittens require a minimum of 7.3 hours socialization daily to mature properly. Pestilence, in particular, appreciates chin rubs."

Sherlock watched as John's shoulders incrementally relaxed. Success.
