Watson looked up as Holmes crossed the room and pulled back the curtain to peer at the sky. "The weather is unlikely to have changed in the seven minutes since you last checked it," he commented dryly, turning the page in the Lancet journal he was pretending to read.
"I am aware of that, Watson."
"And yet you still continue to check."
"I was promised sunshine today and I planned my experiments accordingly."
"Meteorology is not an exact science, Holmes."
"I know that!" he shouted, pushing the curtain aside to check again.
Watson hid his smirk, refraining from commenting further.
