June Roundup

LJ is being really grumpy whenever I try to format this so I'm leaving out nearly all the coding.

To Dance With, Jack/Doctor, A letter from Jack makes its way to the Doctor after Jack has died, G, 268 (Written for the Dead Letter Challenge)
Mysteries to Ponder, DW, Turlough was a bit of a mystery to the Doctor, G, 100 words, (dw100 challenge: miscreant)
Alphabet Soup, The team has a certain pastime when it comes to tracking Jack's deaths, G, 640 words (birthday present for _medley_ )
Smoky Confrontations, NCIS fandom, A fire leads to confrontations between Gibbs and Tony, G, 900, (ncisdrabble100 challenge: Fire)
Legends and Legacies, And old friend needs Jack’s help, G, 21907 words (tardis_bigbang )

It's Tradition, Gwen learns about the things we do in the name of tradition, G, 100 words (tw100 challenge: Life Before Torchwood)
The Chase, NCIS, A chase goes awry, rated G, 300 words (written for mad_jaks)
Whistle While You Work, Jack/Ianto, Ianto's life after quitting Torchwood, R, 100 words (tw100 challenge: Life After Torchwood)
Seven's Bear, DW, There was a little bear on the TARDIS, G, 635 words (commentfic- also by mad_jaks and rustydog)
Learning to Whistle, Jack/Ianto, prequel to "Whistle while you work," How Ianto got his chains, R, 437 words
Donut Delight, NCIS fandom, Tony finds a surprise on his desk, rated G, 200 words (ncisdrabble100 challenge: Heaven and Hell)

13 stories, 3 drabbles, 9 ficlets. (2 pure DW, 3 NCIS) The bigbang was written months ago but the website went live this month. 27530 words (5623 without the bigbang)

Everything written as a challenge or present, etc. hmmm.

I think I'm going to take my icon off randomizer and just try to remember to change it up some.

Got meta-quoted again
*hides*

My computer's acting weird, I hope it's not sick :(

[identity profile] rustydog.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a good month! Even without the bigbang you've got a very repsectable word count and some great stories in there! (And I'm not just saying that because I loved my birthday fic so much. *g*)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
YAY! Hope you like it :)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm just thrilled you liked it! And the fandom definitely needed more stuffedanimal!fic and as a result of it now DW has some too! :)

[identity profile] kensieg.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
donut you got metaquoted because you say the most interesting things.

[identity profile] kensieg.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
does ten still have the bear?
unfeathered: (Default)

[personal profile] unfeathered 2008-07-01 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a really good wordcount, even without the Big Bang! Congratulations! :-)

*goes to see if she actually posted any fic whatsoever in June...*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
*puts on thinky face* that is a really good question!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
*blushes* interesting, insane.. . what's the difference?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
*tips hat* why thank you m'dear!

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Moohahaha.

I still need to read the bigbang. Considering work is going to be SUPER slow this week, I think I'll work on it there.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yay! Hope you like it!

I have a bunch of bigbangs I want to read too. I will, eventually

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
I have so much stuff I really need to get to reading.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
me too, yet I waste my time laughing at bad!fic instead

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
...it's so much fun.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
especially when you're squinting at the screen thinking, how's that work?

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
it's fun to laugh at though

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
It really is.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
in private. Let the bad author's have their dignity and all that

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Probably a good idea.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
although, I do wonder, how can they not *know* how bad it is? aren't they ashamed? embarrassed?

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I sometimes wonder that myself.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
but then again, some of that stuff other people actually like. I watch the tw and ncis ficfinder comms and some of the stuff people are asking to find is terrible!

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
This is true.
