Owen's Powdered Sugar Plans

Title: Owen's Powdered Sugar Plans
Pairing/Rating/Warning: none, rated G
Word Count: 100
Summary: Owen finally gets his hands on the donuts.
Author's note: Thirteenth in the powdered sugar crack!fic series.  It was only fitting that my 100th drabble should revisit this wonderful verse.

Owen couldn’t believe it.

An entire box of donuts, freshly arrived through the rift, and all his.  Clutching the box tightly, he began to plan.  Tests.  With enough tests he might figure out what caused the donuts’ effects, and then if he could manufacture it, he’d be a millionaire.  No, a billionaire!

Tosh broke through his musings.  “Owen?  Gwen and I are going to be stuck here for awhile bringing the files up to date, so I’m going to pick us up something to eat.  Want anything?”

“Actually,” Owen began, “I’ve a box of donuts and I’m happy to share...”

Yeah - if he can intercept it in time!

We had donuts for pudding tonight. Though only half of one each because we'd stuffed ourselves on Mummy's burgers. *g*

donuts, even only half of one, are GOOD THINGS. :)

*grins* I'd send them to you, but I fear they'd get stale on the way. :-(

*sighs* you may have a point. I'll have to make do with cyber ones then

I've been a baking madwoman of late. Trying to make and freeze enough for my daughter's bat mitzvah. Eventually I'll need enough to feed up to 200. So it's been- bake a batch, eat them for dessert that night and freeze the rest, repeat over and over.

after friday night's services there is what's called an Oneg: cookies, a plate of fruit or two, coffee and challah. The bat mitzvah family is supposed to provide enough to make sure there's enough to eat if the sanctuary is full, so 200. I have 20 doz cookies made up so far.

That is... very, very impressive! I simply wouldn't have anywhere to KEEP them!

I have a small freestanding freezer. And a bunch of plastic containers to hold the cookies in

You are well prepared then! :-)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-09-13 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
sort of. I should have begun the planning part of the bat mitzvah months and months ago, but oh well. with luck all the cookies will have survived freezing and defrost easily enough and taste yummy

So far I've made choc chip cookies, chocolate chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter choc chip cookies. I'm sensing a trend....

oh and brownie bites too

Chocolate cookies are good! :-)

They should certainly surviving freezing and defrosting. I always make extra to freeze.

My daughter wanted fancier things, but I wasn't sure how easily they'd freeze. I'll probably make them a day or two before the event itself.

Can't go wrong with chocolate in any form right?
