You are going to use it, then. Yay! Except I joined as a member, and then I realized I should just be watching it. I'm sorry! I think I can fix it - maybe I have to unfriend and then go back join again and choose Watch? Sorry.

Yes, if I'm a member I would definitely watch as well, I was just worried about the fact that it's your personal community, so I don't need to be a member - I won't be posting there. I didn't know if you wanted other members besides you.

I got both posts on my friends page after I joined the community. (And I know it will be the same when I go back and just watch.)

I'm not sure I like this 2 journals thing. It's confusing.

I know I've set it so I'm the only one who can post there, but I didn't think of setting it so that there are no members other than me so some people have joined it and others are watching....

For the time being I'm going to post announcements of new fic and whatnot here too, so I guess as long as you don't mind getting two notices it's fine.

I don't like that I don't get comments over there as messages, only as email notifications. :(

I certainly don't mind getting two notices. :) Though if you're worried about that, and everybody who's watching the community is also on your flist, you can click "Date out of order" when you post to Donutville, and then the post will be on the community but not on people's flists. -At least that's true of journals - I just remembered I could do that today when I was posting to Littledoglaughed and linking from tw100.

I say just keep working with it for awhile. There are bound to be wrinkles and adjustment time, but if it's something you like having, I'm sure you can get it ironed out. :) (I get flustered easily by new things, so I always have to just keep at it for awhile.)

that's a good point. To me new=OMG SCARY. That's why it was set up for more than a month before I even mentioned it.

So maybe I just need to take a deep breath and jump in the deep end and give it a try.
