Patience. Ducky considered Jethro’s request. It seemed so simplistic, that all that was needed on their part was a little patience and then it would be over. He could have patience. After all, it was really just a matter of being able to bide their time until the trap could be set; then they would find out who was working with Agent Lee- or who she was working for- which ever the case may be, and the mole would be taken care of. Moves and countermoves, pawn to queen’s bishop four, rook to king’s five. And voilà! Checkmate in six moves or less. It was a shame that this portion of the plan had hinged upon the sacrificing of a knight in order to have it succeed. Ducky was sure that Anthony would understand once he’d calmed down. Oh, he’d not appreciate being used in such a manner, perhaps never quite forgive Jethro for that slight, but he would understand the reasons behind such subterfuge, just as Ducky himself did. This was a battle that had to be won, and won quickly. They couldn’t afford lose to lose another player in this game. There had been too many casualties already.
