attempted my first non-Jack related writings: two NCIS, one House (House!) and one Doctor Who, as well as a "Dark Angel" crossover.
did some beta work
signed up for the [info]paliphrase challenge (10 stories in 10 different fandoms with the prompt "pensive")
wrote the last 5k or so for my bigbang (which the amazingly lovely _medley_ beta'ed) so that sucker is finished. Probably.

Wow! Pretty damn awesome *nods*

Also? I still lovelovelove your NCIS fics. Especially The Concussion Check. Which is just gorgeous. And, well. All the other fics as well, obviously. But that one most! *squees*

How's you today? *bounces*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-01 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
You're an awesome cheerleader, you know that?

I have to come up with another idea for more NCIS stuff, and buckle down on my crossover. I'm good, but about to head off for work *sigh*

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-04-01 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Only when it comes to things I actually like *snickers* But then I can be rather enthusiastic, I believe. Yay *bounces* *dresses up as cheerleader* :D

Oh, but how hard can it be to come up with an idea for more NCIS stuff? We should just talk for, say, half an hour or so, and I'm sure the Tonys in our heads would come up with something ♥

Ew, work. I should probably study, but I'm enjoying my carefree final week of school way too much, so I'll do frantic last minute studying starting... Saturday.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-01 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
right now I'm focusing on [livejournal.com profile] mad_jaks's challenge of a kink a day for [livejournal.com profile] tw100. But yeah- afterwards we'll need to do some chatting to get the plotbunnies fired up and ready.

*sigh* gotta go. talk to you tomorrow!

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-04-01 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
GO YOU! That is a very impressive word count ya got going there, and the quality's as good as the quantity!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-01 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
*blushes* and a lot is thanks to you- you are an amazing cheerleader and beta!!!

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-04-01 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, thank you so much! *squishes you*

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
That's quite the list.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
I'm happy with the utter schizophrenia of it- ranging from cute sappy stories to utter crack to pwp het. With a dab of slash and angst and humor thrown in.

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
It's definitely a good range.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
that is an awesome icon- the TARDIS light glows!

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I've had this one for ages, and I never use it nearly enough.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
and the background is so dark and ominous. It makes me want to write... something, not sure what

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Fic influenced by an icon. That's a new one.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I've done that before- I wrote a ficlet from this icon a bit back

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Usually, though, you end up with a ton of icons influenced by your fic.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
true- usually it is the other way around. And I'm quite proud of that!

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
You end up with some fantastic icons, that's for sure.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
my goal (vaguely) is all icons that were made for me or inspired by stories or things I've said.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
but then there are icons like this that I just can't resist...

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I love the bouncing elephant.

Mine are just beginning to lean more toward personalization.

I can spell, I swear.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't, I admit it freely. I rely on the little redline of doom to tell me if I spelled it wrong

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-04 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
I do, too, but then there are those times when I actually spell something correctly, it's just not the word I want.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-04 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
I *hate* that. Inane and Insane really aren't the same thing. At all. But I mistake them for each other all the time

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-04 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
LOL...no, they aren't. It's really annoying, especially when there are words that happens with ALL the time.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-04 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
The inanity of my insanity should be the name of a garage band though...

I think my spellchecker should know me well enough to fix those sorts of mistakes by now

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-04 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
It would.

They need to invest research into A.I. spellcheckers, so they do start to catch that kind of thing after awhile.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-04 01:28 pm (UTC)(link)
now that is a sort of technology I could heartily embrace

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-04 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
It would save so much time and trouble.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-04 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
although it might have some difficulties trying to second guess us

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-04 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
however, if it just went for the most lewd and tawdry word in any given situation it might just choose correctly

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-05 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
with us? probably 98% of the time

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-05 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
not sure if we should be proud or disappointed about that other 2%

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-05 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
Dependent upon what we're writing, I guess.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-05 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
good point. And I'm probably totally deluding myself that even 2% would fit that catagory

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-05 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
you could have argued the point a bit

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-04-05 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
Meh. What's the point?
