The Fuzzbutt says....

The kids took this picture.  I couldn't resist adding the caption.

Everyone should close their doors at night when they sleep.:-)

Oh, and watch for furry trip wires in the morning. :-)

or even worse, soggy hairball landmines

I have one who is, I think, determined to kill me. He's one of the few cats I've ever had who will actually wind himself around my feet when I walk. I can't *count* the number of times I've kicked him and he just keeps coming back for more. GIVE ME ATTENTION NOW EVEN IF IT MEANS YOU THROWING ME AGAINST THE WALL!!!

If he didn't already have a name, I'd name him Tony. ;-)

oh dear. Fuzzbutt doesn't tend to wind around the feet, but he does get near you and stop- which results in him getting kicked occassionally. Poor kitties

I really hate that. Or the "following in front of you".

"Oh, you're moving! I bet you're going this way, right? Right? Turning? Let me catch up! Oh, yeah! Going to the kitchen? No, the living room? Let me show you the way!"

*sigh*

I get it, cat. You're the leader. I give up. :-)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-20 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
oh yes, I'm quite familiar with that. And the utter confusion on their face when you try to ignore them

"But you're *supposed* to follow me! I'm the big bad predator!"

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-20 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
and the horror, if you do follow them, and they lead you to the fridge and you *don't* open it? that look is priceless!

"But! But! That's where my *prey* is!"

even better is when you open it and take out a carrot or something. that look of disgust is hysterical

We've got a litter of strays currently being socialized inside. One of them just climbs right in when I open the fridge. I keep pulling her out and telling her she doesn't want to be a kittencicle. She never believes me, though.

What's really weird is that I've never fed these guys out of the fridge. I think it's either genetic or one of my older toms has been spinning yarns for the newbies. :-)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-20 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
it could just be 'closed door' syndrome. They MUSt know what is on the other side. No matter what

[identity profile] tejas.livejournal.com 2008-12-20 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL! Could be. The other two are put off by the cold. She just marches right up and climbs in.

Silly beast. (Want a kitten or three? :-)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-20 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
my fuzzbutt will always check out the fridge, but learned early on not to climb in (daughter closed the door on him. She was not quite 2 and thought it was funny)

LOL!!! I swear, 2 year old humans have about the same sense of humor as, well, as cats. :-) The feline sense of humor is nothing if not juvenile. :-)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-20 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
they certainly had similar mindsets about then

It's really apparent if you've got a bunch of them. Nothing like someone falling off a shelf to get every other cat in the room smirking in their little furry way.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-20 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I only ever had one cat at a time, but when something like that happened there was always that ear lick of 'i meant to do that' that immediately followed

Oh, but of course!

Except... other cats aren't so easily fooled. ;-)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-21 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure the other cats just laughed

If cats made movies, they'd be slapstick.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-21 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
I could see that. There's that glint in their eyes just before you find the hairball they left for us

LOL!!!! Keystone Cats. ;-)
