So, looking at my calender, I just noticed that, by quiting, not only will I be missing staff meeting tomorrow, but I will also be missing the 'Annual meeting pre-meeting agenda committee meeting pre-meeting' which, for all of you who don't speak meetingese translates as a meeting to discuss the agenda for a meeting which will be about a meeting.  Only discuss the agenda, mind you, actually deciding upon the agenda will happen at the 'annual meeting agenda committee meeting pre-meeting.'  *shakes head*

Anyway, missing an important event like that demands celebrating.  So.... PRESSIES FOR EVERYONE!

Hopefully, anyway.

Respon to this post with a request.  For a story, an icon, a meta, anything.  Doctor Who, Torchwood, Supernatural, NCIS, SGA, any fandom or verse I've written in ever (with the exception of Dresden Files, sorry awanderingbard, I've lost my voice for it).  Timestamp request of a previous verse, continuation of a story, interaction between two characters, anything that strikes your fancy, and hopefully I'll be able to make it work for you.

Make a request!  Help me celebrate!

It would make donuts an interesting new weapon in the Winchester boys' arsenal - just don't store them too close to the salt or you won't be able to snack on them if you have any leftover. *g*

I'm getting the feeling you've put a LOT more thought into this than I have! Are you sure you don't want to take a crack at it?

Ha, trust me, the only thinking has been as my fingers are typing. I really don't know SPN well enough to write it. The only way I pulled off that Laser Cats parody was from skimming posts of a SPN-obsessed flister and making it extremely AU. *g*

(I'm just gunning for membership in the Evil Club, apparently!)

SPN has been written with Sam being a girl and Dean being a dance instructor. I don't think AU is an issue for most people

You should join the club! There's badges and everything!

Bwah! So it's a little like SGA fandom, then? I wonder if they've ever been socks...

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure they're even been socks, but Dean's been a rat and Sam a cat (or some other animal, I don't remember) and they've been spies and firefighters and DJs and writers and played in a band and there's 80 million high school AUs...

Sounds very amusing! It's funny how some fandoms have tons of AUs and others don't go there so much. From what I hear, dueSouth, SGA, Supernatural are AU-heavy, but I don't see those "fantasy" style AUs in DW/TW as often. Maybe the "if x hadn't happened in y episode..." kind but not the "Jack is an immortal garbage collector and Owen is a Gulf War vet" kind.

Very true. the TW/DW kind is more the style I like. SPN's AUs confuse me because they're also for RPS. What's the point of writing about Jared and Jensen if Jensen's a brain damaged basketball player and Jared's his nurse? (I'm making that one up, but there are plenty of just WTH O_0 ones)

[identity profile] rustydog.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! I mean, ::ahem:: yes, interesting. You're right, it seems like making it AU kind of defeats the purpose of RPS - if they're fictional anyway you might as well just write about Dean and Sam?

I don't really understand myself. But then again I don't really read RPS, AU or not.
