tw100 challenge: politics
Sometimes Jack forgot what it felt like: the taste of the words on his tongue, the rasp of skin against his fingertips, the smell, the ache, the need that drove away all rational thought and the love that encompassed it all.
He’d had no time for it once he’d taken command. Just paperwork, phone calls, and politics. He’d become Captain Jack Harkness, voice of Torchwood Three. Then, after Canary Wharf, the voice of Torchwood itself. And there was no time to just be Jack Harkness, to be himself, to love the way one was supposed to. And he missed it.
