Welcoming The Dawn
Jamie McCrimmon used to sing to her sometimes.
It was only ever early in the morning, when the others were still asleep. She rather doubted that he sang then because he did not wish to be overheard, but rather it was his subconscious way of waking up, of greeting the new day.
Languages fascinated her. Not the words themselves, but the cadences they left behind. When woven together into one of his haunting melodies they resonated deep within her core.
He was gone now and she sat broken and empty, with no one and no way to welcome the dawn.
