Author's Note: Written for the Moving Words and Pictures Flashfic Challenge using matsujo9's video "Never the Same"

He stood there, out of sight, watching the entrance of Limehouse Green Railway Station.  He shouldn’t be here.  Not tonight.  Not with the risk to the timeline.  But he couldn’t help it.  One glance, he told himself, that’s all he needed.  A quick look at his Doctor, the man he’d changed for, the man he’d died for.  And a look back at who he’d been before they’d met.  He knew he was right to come.  It forced him to look at who’d put him on this new path, to convince himself that, in the long run, it was worth it.

This is such a lovely, lovely thing, and you've really gotten an emotional response out of me in very few words. I especially love A quick look at his Doctor, the man he’d changed for, the man he’d died for. And a look back at who he’d been before they’d met and the last line, because I really, really want it to have been worth it.
