Holy crap Supernatural was good.

Vampire Diaries was a joke but Supernatural was incredible.

I think you and I had pretty much the same reaction to it.

The actor who played Stephan was in something I'd loved so I was willing to give the show a try... but emo!vampire? I wouldn't have thought it possible!

About ten minutes in, I found myself wondering when someone is going to create a show about a really perky, angst free vampire. Buffy role reversal, the cheerleader is the vampire!

Ah, but that might have been interesting!

The only thing that intrigued me was the 'adult' stephan lived with, who he claimed was his uncle, but the guy called him uncle (Can't remember his name, sorry)

And I liked showing up the history teacher

I was just thinking a lot, "What if Luna is watching this?" There was no disapproval of teen drunkenness except in the context of possibly getting caught, there were drugs and talk of promiscuity... I am so *old* apparently!

The uncle guy was intriguing.

Yeah, the drunken, drug dealing brother bothered me. I have never read the books though, maybe it's canon for them? (I do doubt it though)
