Eastwick, episode 2

It gets high points for yet another shirtless scene (with added thigh this time) so that's a lovely trend to see continued. For those of you who doubt Paul is still a handsome man, check out the caps of last week's shirtless scene here.

Overall, there are some interesting threads being woven in to the story with a previous mystery in town mentioned, and there was a wonderful bit by guest star Cybill Sheppard, but it still does suffer from beginning show clunkiness. One of the main women characters in particular (Joanna) needs more direction in how to deliver her lines in a way that she doesn't brick each and every one. But Paul Gross still amazing, so I'll be tuning in next week.

Good to know it will be worth my effort to...er...acquire it for viewing.

For those scenes alone it is worth acquiring it. You can always fast forward through the blah-blah-blah talking scenes. :)

LOL! Actually, I found the pilot ep interesting enough. It's not exactly Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but it was engaging.

Though yes, nekkid!Paul was a very real inducement.

Paul delivered so many lines just perfectly! One of the scenes in the pilot - where he's talking with Joanna (the reporter character) and says he loved her article and she says- You really read the whole thing and he just pauses and tosses off as an aside something to the effect of 'no actually I thought it was horribly boring and trite' I loved it

I enjoyed that bit too. By all evidence, the man has an ego the size of a planet, but he really is a rather good actor--at least, he can be.

And I looked and looked at his face for obvious signs of cosmetic surgery. It's hard to believe he hasn't had some work done, but if he has, he's got a damn fine surgeon, because he looks fantastic. He's very nearly my age (that's OLD) and he looks 15 years younger.

I honestly don't think he's had anything done. I found some HD shots and you can see a lot of fine lines and some wrinkles and sagging, but very very little. He'd got to be one of those incredibly lucky people that just age well.
