I thought Jimmy 'died' last season in "The Rapture" when he was gut shot so Cas used his daughter for a bit as a vessel and then asked for Cas to come back in knowing it would be for good. So, in a way, Cas was in a shell, not a person, from then on?
That would be lovely!!! Lucifer, btw, was having a very good Sam day. I wonder how long he spent in makeup to keep from looking worn and tired... or maybe it was that he spent *less* time in makeup since he *didn't* have to look worn and tired. ;-)
I did like that Zachariah thought Dean would get one lesson out of the whole thing, but Dean walks away with an entirely different one. It kind of goes back to the fact the angels just don't understand humans
oooh, that'd be MEAN. Although, at least not along the lines of St. Elsewhere's the whole thing never happened or The Newhart Show's it was all a dream endings...
I figure it's much more likely that both of the guys will die saving the world. If they're lucky, they'll die saving the world and get to come back... whereupon Dean will spend the rest of the hour bitching about not even getting a gold watch out of the deal. ;-)

Notice how they've managed to resist using Sympathy for the Devil? Or maybe they've just got it slotted for an ep later in the season. :-)
