It's official! TNT has picked up Southland!!!

(They aren't making any new episodes, YET, but they will air the 7 episodes made for S1 and the 6 unaired episodes from S2)

There have been rumors that tnt was interested, and then that they were in talks with NBC and I kept my fingers crossed. And yesterday there the rumors had been flying that it was a done deal!

I am *so* happy. They haven't committed to making new episodes, but at least the 6 shot so far will air!

Oh, that's good news! It just wasn't on at a convenient time during the summer, so I only caught the first two episodes. If TNT is running it straight through, I'll watch the whole thing.

That is currently their plan. All told there have been 13 episodes made which tnt considers a great length for a season. If all goes well and the numbers are good they will make more episodes later.

I'm not actually watching this, but a show saved is always good news! I'm so happy for you and the other fans!

(I tried, it's not that I don't think it's good, it's that I can't do grim shows like it right now)

I am *so* happy about the Southland news. I signed petitions and did twitter campaigns (you'll be thankful I opened a different twitter account for that, I probably did 500 tweets with southland as a trending topic) and it actually happened! *throws confetti*
