OMG Muppets Tweeting!

Sesame Street is on twitter.

*hee* An example of one of the tweets:

Grover: I shall demonstrate “near” and “far”. Right now I am “near” the keyboard. And now…hmm. That did not work. I was too “far” to type!

How did I not know about this earlier?

Hee! E wants to follow. I may need to as well. *g*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
It's just too cute. Although, there are a few muppets I don't recognize nowadays. I feel old

[identity profile] jadesfire.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
How awesome is that?! *follows*

Thanks!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
a little more Sesame Street in one's life could never be considered a bad thing! :)

*uses vaguely appropriate icon*

Muppet Show/Sesame Street= close enough, right?

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 10:55 am (UTC)(link)
BWAHAHAHAHA! That's funny :D

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
a little more Sesame Street in one's life is not a bad thing

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
It's really not *G*
Happy Thanksgiving!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! Turkey is in final defrost stage, 2 desserts and 1 side dish done, 1 side dish cooking and 1 to be put together and cooked once turkey's in fridge. *deep breath*

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
*offers emergency donuts*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
*snatches* it always winds up working out, but I always sort of freak every day while preparing it anyway

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
My daughter has said she's going to cook Christmas dinner this year - and her middle brother (who normally helps me) has said he is going to help her.

*is looking forward to not having to cook*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
OOOH, nice! Although I bet you'll still bring something, right?

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Well she'll be cooking at my mother's so it'll probably turn into a three cook dinner (and I'll have already made the puddings).

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I've only heard of christmas pudding, I don't think I've even ever seen one

She's not doing it at her own house?

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
She still lives at home with us - apart from when she's in Canada ;-) We live in one of the most expensive places in the UK - on her current wages she can't even afford to rent anywhere.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, that's like it was where I grew up- far too expensive to live anywhere but at home.

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep just like that. My eldest son has moved out to live with his fiancee but even they are living at HER mother's.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
gah, what fun...

[identity profile] karaokegal.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
AWWWWWWWW!!!! Thanks for the info. Memories meet technology.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I ♥ the muppets. Can't go wrong with childhood memories like that, right?

[identity profile] adafrog.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG, that is awesome!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Everyone can do with more muppets in their lives

[identity profile] adafrog.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
So very true.

[identity profile] phoenix64.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
OK, that is pretty darn cool.

Elmo: Sesame’s Tweets are brought to you today by the letter T and the number 140.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
ISn't it adorable?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 02:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, I have the perfect icon too!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-12-01 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
there are days I feel very much like Beeker

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-12-02 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
*meep* is the perfect response in so many cases

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2009-12-03 07:25 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. Particularly when you want the added benefit of making people nervous.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-12-03 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
A favorite past time of mine...

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 01:47 pm (UTC)(link)
it works wonders onn both kids and coworkers..

although cats don't care

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
We're too insignificant to them to ever be any worry.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Cats know who the ruler of the household *cough* world *cough* is so it doesn't bother them

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2009-12-05 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
Unless, of course, we fail to feed them in being weird.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-12-05 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
fail to feed kitty?!? The HORRORS that would befell us for such a lapse!

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2009-12-05 07:25 am (UTC)(link)
I shudder to think.

I used to have a cat who would go sit in the water dish if it was empty, and she wouldn't move until you filled it.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-12-05 03:34 pm (UTC)(link)
bwhaha! I love it. Mine will sit next to the empty (or not-filled-enough) food bowl and stare at you. And stare. And stare. And if that doesn't work he'll add in pathetic mewww sounds

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
I think the staring would probably work for me.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
I am pathetically weak willed when it comes to him

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
It's give in or lock the door when you're sleeping.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
and then they'll just scratch on it all bloody night

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
And destroy the carpet for greater effect.
