(no subject)

I want to like NCIS. I really do.

I want to be a good fan.

But every time I see an ad for tonight's episode I cringe.

TPTB, I beg you, please bring back the show I love.

From your mouth to . . . As they say.

I'm sitting here nodding in full agreement with what you say (except I haven't seen any ads, but you know what i mean).

Dreams of seasons 1&2.

The ads are all about the Gibbs' "past" and what will the team do when they find out and how will he live with it, blah blah blah. If the "evidence" linking him to it had been presented in some vaguely believable manner I might be more accepting, but as is.... *sighs*

*Yawns* Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Huh? Sorry, the words 'Gibbs's past' tends to do that to me *g*

bwhahahaha you and me both. When will TPTB realize we just don't care about 1991?

[identity profile] nakeisha.livejournal.com 2010-09-21 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
*Grins* That doesn't surprise me.

Sadly, probably never :-((

I suppose all we can hope for is this dang storyline plays out in tonight's episode and that's the last we hear of it. (A girl can hope, right?)

[identity profile] nakeisha.livejournal.com 2010-09-22 08:41 am (UTC)(link)
As it did. So hoping seemed to work.

I really do hope this is it and we never mention Mexico of Gibbs's past again. Okay, so it's a wild hope, but at least for now this story-line seems to be dead and buried! (Puns fully intended).

Ever since the show got 'popular', it's gone downhill IMO. It's like someone took a poll of the newcomers and they said 'we like Gibbs!' and so they decided to focus the show on him, even though we already know about his past. And frankly, with all the crap he's allegely gone through, I don't know how he gets up in the morning. Every episode they add more trauma. And I want to know about Tony! Is it too much to ask that Gibbs and Ziva back off the angst for one second so we can hear about the other team members?

I haven't seen previews either. All shows in Canada are pretty much piggybacked off the Canadian signals, so CBS frequently turns into Global if that's the network that's showing it here. And Global is showing Glee tonight in place of NCIS, so I will have to go to the American channel, which will inevitably switch back to Global just in time for me to miss previews for next week, which Global doesn't show. Um, sorry for the rant.

Anyway, I haven't seen previews, but they messed with my Gibbs and Abby last season and that's unacceptable. Give me back my Gibbs and Abby.

oh that has to be annoying that they always cut off like that!

I think you might be right about its popularity. It really started to go downhill S5, once the numbers of viewers had skyrocketed.

Count your blessings, sweetie! You could be a dedicated House-frau who just went through last night's season premiere and still can't the bad taste out of her mouth.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-09-21 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
After reading your rant on it, I'm glad I gave up on House last year!

You know you read to much slash when you start to want Mike/Jackson fic. :)

bwhahaha, I can see people thinking that!
