well, the 'previously on' didn't make me want to retch, that's something right?
Papa Gibbs is still cool. But gee, what a shocker that she didn't kill him.
Two guys with machine guns taking out the store is a bit overkill though, and a wee bit obvious. They didn't consider the police might come? WTH?
Papa Gibbs is adorable.
Random shift of months ahead, gee, again how shocking.
DiNozzo is still on his game though and quick on his feet and with the quips with Vance.
Oooh, old school crime scene banter. Hey look, competent agents! Tony, Jimmy, Ducky and Gibbs, all know their stuff and doing their jobs.
But, give me a break, the evil chick is related to the murder scene? *yawn*

Ducky tells Abby about the first case he and Gibbs worked on! And of course it relates to Gibbs' killing the drug lord guy way back when.

And Vance hides the report saying Gibbs killed Hernandez. Of course report is a piece of crap based on evidence that would get laughed out of a courtroom, but still....
Overall, other than random mysterious text in the last second, the episode was nowhere NEAR as bad as I thought it would be. *breathes sigh of relief*

Hetty is still awesome. That is not new.
G is staying at Sam's? Fangirls everywhere squee in happiness.
Deeks is MIA, that's the new case, but is in the opening credits. Gee, do you think they find him?
Hee Sam's not so thrilled with G's habits.
blahblahblah the backstory of Deeks' deep cover op that went kaboom. I like that it ties back into the last time we saw Deeks- he told Kensi he was going into a deep cover assignment.
oooh, Deeks' police contact woman who briefed the Sam, G and Kensi blew up. Oops, guess they should have asked all their questions right away.
Hetty and Nate are adorable.
Weird that Nate and Hetty are calling then Callen and Hannah.
Nate: Are you asking me out? No. That would be weird. -- bwhahaha
Hetty with a handgun. Vaguely disturbing. She is a crack shot, of course.

Lol- Hetty knew Callen had tailed her and listened in.
Hee, Callen can play scrabble in Russian too! Callen and Hetty have great chemistry (not that way)

I like Nate and Eric working together, I don't remember seeing that much last season.
