NCIS 8.03

Okay, when did Gibbs and Fornell become an old married couple?

Wow, I wonder how much apple paid- iphones, ipad, etc, NCIS is using them and are showing them to us A LOT

*sigh* NCIS, that ending... really?

I liked the whole ep except the last bit with the cover photo and Tony's shoulder....

*sigh*

But the rest I liked.

And hey... they said dead petty officer next week.

That finally scene just pissed me off. I hate the "let's bash on Tony" leanings TPTB have

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
I know... I was cringing before they even got to it.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
So was I. I'm watching with my kid and she asked why I was yelling at the screen from the second Tony mentioned the photos coming out that day

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
I was doing that too.... why can't they pick on someone else at the end of an ep.

*pouts*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
I had had a bad feeling about him being the poster-boy in the first place, but had vainly hoped that TPTB were finally going back to the idea of competent!Tony and not making him the butt of everyone's jokes anymore. I guess not *sighs*

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
I know... they could have captured some really serious moment that Tony didn't even remember that there was a camera following him and used that. But instead... *sigh*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, exactly.

At least we got a movie reference (and a good, valid one at that!)

More canon for my OTP? I haven't seen the ep yet. Seriously of all the "old married couple" pairings that people claim, they really do have that vibe going, although I like to think that "old married" is not code for "sexless" but I can still see my boys rising to the occasion now and again.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
There are two scenes you'll love in tonight's episode.

For me, old married couple means comfortable hanging out, knowing each other's likes and dislikes and lots of banter.

[identity profile] karaokegal.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
I know there's hard-core shippers for other Gibbs pairings in the show, but Harmon and Spano just seem to have so much fun playing off each other in a way that the script generally prevents happening between Gibbs and the actual team members.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
They definitely always seem to be having a lot of fun with each other

[identity profile] phoenix64.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yay, someone else who shares the Gibbs/Fornell love!

[identity profile] karaokegal.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Totally my OTP for the show. They have the best chemistry and Gibbs generally treats Fornell as an equal, instead of putting him through the "competing for Daddy's love" shit that makes me NOT ship Gibbs with most of the official team.

The way Fornell cracked up when Gibbs was getting the polygraph test, actually made me think that might just be Joe Spano breaking character and they decided to leave it in because it worked so well.

Okay, when did Gibbs and Fornell become an old married couple?

I THOUGHT THE EXACT SAME THING.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Was there really any other way to interpret those two scenes?

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2010-10-07 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
I really can't think of another.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-07 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
Especially the "I thought we decided..."

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2010-10-07 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
I always love when he says "our ex-wife", too

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-07 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
YES. And is it just me or did the two guys seem to be having FAR too much fun with those scenes?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-07 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
And the comment about the beard was priceless. I wonder if Joe had to have the beard for another acting gig?

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2010-10-07 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know, but they've sure gotten a lot of milage out of that one.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-07 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Joe is just awesome. He needs to be on NCIS more

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-08 02:44 pm (UTC)(link)
And Michael needs to be shirtless (which has nothing to do with previous comment, but as long as we're just making useless wishes...)

I haven't been catching NCIS much lately but I'm glad I turned it on for the last few minutes last night to see my deep-down Gibbs/Fornell shipper get such a treat.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2010-10-06 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
There's another scene that is another great Gibbs/Fornell scene maybe 25 minutes or so into the episode if you can find it online or elsewhere to watch
