Drat drat drat drat I just noticed I screwed up the baby blanket I'm crocheting WAY WAY back in the beginning. I don't have enough time to start over either. Oh and I didn't buy enough yarn and the yarn I used is discontinued.

And then there was the time, a few years back, when she was crocheting an afghan for Ama. She did all the squares up and put all the ends in and then realized she couldn't read the pattern on how to put them together. So, in the end, I had to rip 27 octagons back to granny squares and Mum had to make up a pattern by herself. In four days. It was done at 5:45pm and the kids arrived at 7:00pm.

I'm sorry for your loss. :(

My kids say the mistake back in the first third (basically all the stitches are in one direction until I made the mistake and did something so all the stitches are in the other direction for the rest) isn't too noticeable. And I *think* it might work just to buy some white of a similar weight (the blanket is a light green so far) and add some rows in the beginning and end or something. Maybe.
I have probably a month or month and a half, but my wrist isn't that good and I can't crochet too much at a time before it starts to hurt or I'd start from scratch.

The best thing is to leave it for a bit and calm down and come back to see what the damage actually is. Everything seems worse when you're tired and it's fresh.

And she's right. Giving it a quick look the mistake is barely noticeable
Take a deep breath and go from there. Good idea

Wow, what an appropriate icon you have! (Well, I was crocheting, not knitting, but still)
