40 stories total, 18 drabbles, 17 ficlets, 5 full length stories

20448 words

best month: January {6 fics, 7751 total words (5 of which and 7651 of the words were for Yuletide, so written in 2009)}
best month with stories written this year: August (4 drabbles, 6 ficlets for 2807 word) with December a close second, even not counting the things I wrote for Yuletide 2010 (7 drabbles, 1 ficlets, 1 full length for 2663 words)
least wordy months: February, July, September (1 drabble ea)

Comparative stats (I like numbers)
2010 vs 2009 vs 2008
40 vs 146 vs 154 total stories
18 vs 42 vs 49 drabbles
17 vs 91 vs 90 ficlets (101-999 words)
5 vs 13 vs 15 full length fics
20488 vs 85553 vs 77653 words (lack of a bigbang in 2010 is hugely noticable, as the entire year's word count is less than either of my bigbang stories)
wordiest months: 7751 vs 23220 vs 27530 (Jan vs June+June) but non-bigbang 7751 (Jan '10) vs 15257 (Jan '09) vs 11837 (Dec '08)
least wordiest months: 100 (Feb/July/Sept '10) vs 1333 (April '09) vs 1317 (January '08)

6 vs 30 vs 63 Jack noncrossover stories (TW and DW combined) I guess Jack no longer is my fandom?
3 vs 30 vs 4 Supernatural
2 vs 22 vs 38 NCIS
1 vs 7 vs 7 SGA
2 vs 9 vs 8 NonJack Doctor Who
5 vs 26 vs 22 crossovers (not counting DW/TW ones)
21 vs 21 vs 3 noncrossover stories in other fandoms (2008 was only 2 original fic and 1 House)

Including crossovers I wrote in 17 different fandoms as well as original fic in 2010 vs 29 fandoms plus original fic in 2009 vs the 14 fandoms plus original fic of 2008

Thought on the stats:

I think it's great that even though my word count was so radically less (about one fourth) more than half my stories this year were not from my "main" fandoms. My wordiest fandoms this year were ones I hadn't written in before.

One big difference is I not only didn't do as much comment fic this year, I rarely posted it. A large percentage of the crossovers from 2009 were originally comment_fics.

I absolutely love [livejournal.com profile] consci_fan_mo, it gives me an excuse to branch out and write in fandoms I wouldn't normally consider (whether or not I track down a fandom related comm to put them in they still get *written* and posted) as well as writing original fiction, it's kind of neat to see how detailed a world you can build in a drabble.

Oh, and just to keep track of it, something I posted that was not fic, but still about writing was my post about American English.

I've not read as much of your stuff this year as usual as a chunk of them are in fandoms with which I have no familiarity at all but it's good to see you branching out. Now I'll just keep my fingers crossed for more BBC Sherlock fic from you!

I'm really liking the Sherlock fandom, the ACD book canon as well for that matter. There is the problem of the UK vs US English etc, but I do think I'll be writing in it more. I need to get back into TW/DW too, I had so much fun in that fandom back when

I didn't realize I hadn't commented on this yet, sorry! Seventeen fandoms is AWESOME. Even though you wrote a bit less total this year, you're WRITING and it's a fantastic list you've got here! I enjoyed everything I read. :)

:) Thanks. I'm hoping to keep the momentum going into this year.
