NCIS is about to go digging around in Tony DiNozzo’s (Michael Weatherly) past.

Executive producer Shane Brennan confirms to me exclusively that a Spring episode will delve into DiNozzo’s life before he became an NCIS agent (and the object of Ziva’s unrequited lust).

“The episode will reveal much about DiNozzo’s past as a Baltimore cop,” previews Brennan. “And yes, we’ll hear the first words exchanged between DiNozzo and Gibbs. It’s a memorable first meeting.”

Please, please, please tptb, don't screw this up.

I haven't watched most of this season... but... I might just have to watch... There's so many ways it could go wrong.

This season has been very... hot and cold would be the best way to describe it. Some of the episodes have me scratching my head, wondering who the hell those people on my screen are and others have me pumping my fist yelling "Yes!"

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. And maybe also keeping some scotch nearby (or chocolate at least)

Nope... It is one I planned to go back and rewatch. I had planned to watch it the day it aired, but I wasn't home at the time and the DVR has been gone for a while (*sniffle*).

It's about damn time; we haven't had a decent DiNozzo plotline since Jeanne. I agree, they better not screw it up. Knowing them, though, they'll write something completely non-canon and then contradict themselves two episodes later.

At least it should give us a break from the Gibbs and Ziva angst. Knowing them, though, it'll all be about Ziva somehow anyway.

They really have been ignoring Tony lately, but I am afraid you're right and canon will be completely ignored and forgotten about when they do write this. Still, *crosses fingers* at least we can have hopes it won't be?

Will this be the e MW is directing? I've not even seen most of the last season, or this one. Have most of the last 3 months on DVR. Will get around to watching hem soon.

I don't know which MW is directing, I'm not sure they ever said. Often people pick an episode where they don't have major roles in it to be the ones they direct to make it easier on everyone around.
