Turning and Turning

Title: Turning and Turning
Pairing/Warning/Rating:
NCIS fandom, none, rated G
Beta: [livejournal.com profile] mad_jaks
Word Count: 500
Summary:
Come hell or high water, the barbeque was going to be a success.
Author's Note: Ages and ages ago [livejournal.com profile] tejas, [livejournal.com profile] djmicheals and [livejournal.com profile] jo1968 asked for more broken!Tony from my The Widening Gyre story. Finally, nearly a year later, here it is. Like the original story, the title is from the Yeats poem "The Second Coming".

Gibbs had decided to go the simple route for their first barbeque since everything that happened...

Oh! You followed it up! And so lovely. I love that Jimmy is the one who adapted the best to Tony of the others. And like Gibbs' internal fretting over every little thing for this cookout.

I hope to see more from this verse whenever you feel like it.

I've been trying to write a follow up for "Gyre" on and off for probably two years. I tried writing Abby and Jimmy with Tony (for some reason I think those two would do best with him) but it never worked. Gibbs is the perfect POV for it, he's just such a strong presence. Glad you liked it :)

I, too, loved that it was Jimmy (after Gibbs himself, of course) who handled the situation best. It was nice to see him NOT being all hesitant and doubtful, for a change.

I always figure Jimmy is smarter and more together than he lets on. Gibbs just intimidates him

That sounds about right *nods*.
