“And the house’ll have blue shutters and I’ll have a pony, and a dog- but not one of those little ones that bite, a big fluffy one that’ll chase its tail- and three orange cats.  Or maybe white?  I dunno, haven’t decided yet.   And you’ll visit me every week, right Uncle Jack?”

“Well, maybe not every week....”

“But you’ll visit, right?  You better.”

“I swear, I’ll visit as often as I can.”

“Secret special double pinkie swear?”

“Secret special double pinkie swear.  I’ll visit.”

“Good.  Read me a bedtime story?”

“Sure, which one?”

“You pick.”

“Okay.  Once upon a time...”
