Slipping Away

Summary: Cold and hurt, John tries to hold on.

watsons_woes amnesty prompts wherein 10 fics are written for 10 prompts and all are part of the same story arc. This is the third story, for the prompt "rhyme."
Snow. There was snow everywhere.
Blow. Wind blowing, freezing the air.
Lie low. The attacker's not gone, beware.
Let go. The cold, the pain, it's too much to bear.
