I think the doctor's handwriting stereotype comes from the fact that they're always in a hurry, so it's perfectly plausible that if John was taking his time, which he would be doing if it was hard for him, his writing would be nicer. Anyway, it's not important because I love the concept so much. That "Mrs. Hudson is helping me" just kills me. So sweet.:-)
