Elementary

FYI, for those in the US (or at least have US itunes accounts) who are interested, the pilot for Elementary is currently free in both SD and HD.

I'm undecided on the show at the moment. I'll wait for a few more episodes to decide if it's worth watching long term or not.

I *mostly* liked it. There was some clunkiness, as there always is in pilots. A lot depends on where they go with it. Lucy impressed the hell out of me in last year's Southland and definitely has the chops for pulling this off, but I'm still a little on the fence with how they choose to write Sherlock and the various police characters and how it all works together.

Getting the episode for free though is a win in my book though.

True true true.

I am not too funny about Sherlock Holmes. I adore the RDJ movies and the BBC series. I think more is good. :)

I LOVE Sherlock Holmes. I've read many of the stories, seen a bunch of the versions (the Russian series and Granada are both favorites along with RDJ and BBC) but there *is* a coldness/aloofness/brusqueness to the character than can rub me the wrong way if not done exactly right. There were times in BBC, for example, that it crossed the line for me, but there was enough other stuff that was good that made up for it. So it depends.

Agree. Dependent on the episode/story.

*crosses fingers for Elementary*
