Yuletide!

Just a reminder, nominations close at 6pm EST Sunday.

I nommed Big Valley (as I do every year) which is a 1960's western, Heartland a Canadian show about a horse ranch, a piece of digital art called "The Witch's Son" and Arrow (which I may or may not request, I haven't decided).

I'll be asking for all gen again most likely so I'm sure whoever is assigned to me is just going to love that.

Hilariously, people are wanking about the possibility of getting stuck with me writing Arrow for them, which I have no intention of offering.
I'm pretty straightforward that I loathe 99.9 percent of the show and that I'm only in it for Barrowman. Barring a desperation pinch-hit that only requested Malcolm and maybe Moira, I doubt I would have anything to contribute along those lines.

I did nominate the Wire, so I can request a bunch of Id-fic. :)

Why would people think you'd offer Arrow when you don't like the show? Or are people just trying to stir up needless wank? Some people just love to have things to bitch about, don't they?

Yes, they do. First of all, whatever fandom dramas I've been involved in, I don't think anyone can say that I've EVER imposed my opinions on an exchange fic, unless I knew the person was on the same page. And second, yeah...I really wouldn't offer a fandom I loathed. I'm not that much of a masochist. Watching the damn thing once is painful enough. The amount of immersion it would take to write fic. I don't think so.

Yeah, there are assholes who will use Yuletide and other exchanges as their platforms but you are definitely not one of those types. I'm always amazed with the people who don't review the canon before writing. There are a bunch of things I remember loving and I look at their prompts longingly, but the movies/shows aren't on DVD or findable ANYWHERE and trying to write from memory? Far too hard and worrisome for me.
