SHIELD Spoilers

In case anyone on my flist is considering watching the season 2 premiere please be aware there are two different scenes that could be triggery:

It's revealed that Ward attempted suicide more than once and when he admits it the attempts are brushed aside and he's told he should have tried harder.

A new character picked up an artefact and it starts turning her hand/arm into char and eventually another character has to amputate it with a knife when she can't drop it. Later the artefact is shown with her hand and forearm still clutching it.

If anyone is only watching for the guest star scenes with Peggy, Jim and Dum Dum then I strongly recommend you only watch the first five minutes and then turn it off.

Honestly, maybe it's me, but Ward's treatment at the end of the finale last year bothered me (the dismissiveness of 'oh, I fractured his larynx, ha ha') maybe his scene here won't (if it didn't bother you, I mean)? It's a scene that made me uncomfortable though and I didn't want people going into it blind.

If I didn't like other parts of MCU, I would've dumped this show so long ago. :( Seriously considering it, now that Gotham turned out to be decent, and there's Agent Carter to look forward to.

I know exactly how you feel. I want Agent Carter for the 20 eps and to have SHIELD be the 10 ep filler show instead.

Especially since Carter will not be burdened by being so closely tied to the movies, since it's set in a different time period. Win-win.

Never getting over the fact that we got the ill-conceived AoS the TV show instead of a Secret Avengers movie :/

Thanks for the warning. I've just had to unfollow a load of Tumblrs over this, because whatever angle people are coming from, I don't need that all over my dash.

I've been in 2 minds over AoS anyway for all kinds of reasons, but I might try a new show instead. Brooklyn Nine-Nine looks fun if Tumblr gifs are anything to go by ;) For now, I think I shall stick to Sleepy Hollow, the happy episodes of White Collar, SGA, SPN and Burn Notice and this podfic (http://archiveofourown.org/works/748766) which has just saved me from having a meltdown at work :)

Glad to have been of help! I have heard a lot of good things about Brooklyn 99, but haven't watched it yet. The Sleepy Hollow premiere was *really* good btw!
