Yuletide!
(I've been trying to post this for DAYS)
I got three great stories for Yuletide this year
The biggest surprise is a Big Valley drabble, Mothers See, which, amazingly, is the continuation of a story I wrote (for yuletide ironically) a few years back, Brothers Be. I love Big Valley and have asked for it many years in a row now and the fact someone wrote me something based of my own work? I don't think I've stopped smiling since I got it.
Another surprise was actually getting my Heartland prompt filled. I asked for it two years in a row with no real expectation that I'd receive it, but I did and the voices are amazingly spot on and the story exactly what I wanted. I can't wait to find out who wrote me Left the Prairies in My Heart.
My last gift (yes, I actually got three this year! How great is that?) can trace it's origin back to the fact I love the movie Fifth Element, but have *always* felt bad/worried over Korbin's kitty. Korbin Dallas has that gorgeous white cat in his opening scenes and then it just disappears, never to be seen again. Poor thing. Finally there is the answer: The Story of Meow.
Meanwhile I wrote a lot for Yuletide. Like a lot a lot. 14 stories for the main collection and 4 for madness. Like I said, a lot a lot.
