Bacchanalia

Title: Bacchanalia
Fandom/Rating:
Sherlock Holmes (ACD), rated G
Word Count: 100 words

Summary:
Watson was feeling rather out of place.
Author's Note: Written for [livejournal.com profile] watsons_woes JWP#10.

Watson watched with despair and increasing trepidation as the maenads cavorted and danced at an ever frenzied pace. Holmes, perhaps due to having already had imbibed more wine than was probably safe, appeared to be completely comfortable in his fox-skin and had no problems seeming utterly at ease as he joined in the revelry. "Not much longer, old chap," Holmes whispered into his ear as he wound an ivy-wreath around Watson's head. "We can end this charade as soon as the man claiming to be Dionysus appears and not a moment sooner. We may as well enjoy ourselves until then!"

Well Watson - when in Rome, say Evoe!

I do like the idea of cavorting Holmes.

I was reading this as BBC and then I saw it was ACD. My poor brain hasn't recovered yet. Well done!

Lol, yes Victorian-era Watson would have a rather different reaction to all that then a modern one, wouldn't he?
