Bah, despite the best of intentions, I am still not managing to post regularly.

I have been distracted of late by a large project- trying to organize my bookmarks, tumblr likes, LJ/DW memories, pocket/read-it-later list, etc into something I have a hope in hell of using to be able to *find* things I'd tried to keep track of. Weeding out the now defunct links and repetitive ones (no one needs close to two dozen nearly identical brownie recipes) got rid of a lot of them, but I still have hundreds and hundreds of things I want to be able to find again when I need to and since a bunch are writing/research related, I decided to try to compile them into posts and put them in my journal here and then others can (hopefully) benefit from all this as well. So, eventually I'll be making posts (with my 'useful links' tag on both LJ and DW) with focuses on writing military/fight scenes, injuries and treatments, ideas for coming up with titles, finding the right word and probably more.

It's sleeting, snowing, raining and hailing here, all pretty much at the same time. Methinks Molly will not enjoy her walks today.

I am like a year behind on organizing my bookmarks. I have no clue when I'm ever going to organize them.

Yep, digital housekeeping is the worst. I need to do that too. I don't say I will get to it...just that I need to. :)

I also keep intending to post, and then just not doing it. I'm just...much less convinced now than I was ten years ago that anything I feel like talking about is useful, or amusing, or distracting. And back then it didn't feel like it really needed to be. Like, I could feel that I was rambling to myself and it was fine, and if people wanted to answer back that was GREAT, but if they didn't, they could scroll past, right? And now I kind of feel like people have so much digital content, do they really need to read my ongoing NCIS thoughts?

I don't know what's changed. I certainly like to see people posting anything at all. Even if I don't have anything to say back, I enjoy hearing from them and seeing what's going on in their heads.

I know exactly what you mean for the reasons for not posting. I have the same mental debates about it (for me posting, I feel the same as you when I see others posting, which means we need to just tell our doubts to shut up but easier said than done)
