Because I am bored, it's meme time!

Tell me the title of a story I haven't written, details optional, and I'll give you a summary.  If you're really lucky, I might even write the story for you.

Feel free to be as specific to characters or fandoms as you wish.

yep- Logan Cale. I saw those. I gotta admit MW is all kinds of sexy with that scruffy not-quite-beard he had as Logan

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I love the scruffy thing he's got going there.

For now, have these:

There'll be more shirtless!icons, but that's it for today. I have more episodes to watch *wanders off*

oh YUM!

And, oddly enough "good Wives Club" was just on- wow, they do imply that Tony's similar to kidnapperguy- and from an abusive household

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Just for you :)

And... Can I say I told you so? I think it's awesome. In a totally heart-breaking way. Certainly did break my heart, anyway. But I love my Tony-angst.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Tony angst ranks up there with Tony h/c as the best NCIS has to offer.

there are so many interesting little snippets into Tony's past in NCIS, they're all so interesting and sad

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Tony angst is absolutely wonderful. And so's Tony h/c. So good. Now I feel the need to track down some Tony h/c immediately *bounces*

Yeah, I love that they give us a character like that and one of the reasons why I adore Tony so much is his past - and the resulting angst factor :D

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
what are your favorite Tony h/c fics? We should exchange notes on that, make sure we both know the best ones.

*Sigh* every little snippet we see of Tony's past- from the very first "My father got me a power sander for christmas" on... poor boy

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
We should exchange notes on ncis fic in general. I'm working on a rec list :D

I think Three Ways We Never Met (http://community.livejournal.com/ncis_tinsel/12857.html) could count as h/c. There's definitely hurt there, anyway. And I absolutely adore Re-Run Heaven (http://writingonthewall.slashcity.net/challisgal/NCIS/ncis16.htm) ♥
And then there's Buried Pain (http://writingonthewall.slashcity.net/challisgal/NCIS/ncis20.htm) and Virtual Life (http://eoenkethry.com/NCIS/virtual.html)'s got a lovely h/c scene. Running On Ice (http://eoenkethry.com/NCIS/010years.html) and Snap (WIP) (http://eoenkethry.com/NCIS/027sound.html) are h/c, too :D

The power sander, "My father was right... I did end up in the gutter", the analogy between his past and that of the murderer in Good Wives' Club... The references kill me. And I'm loving every minute of it.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
oooh, I haven't read the first two! Have you read any of Richefic's (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/374030/) stories? There's a lot of Tony angst and h/c there. only friendship between Gibbs/Tony though.

But... Risk and Reward? (http://www.geocities.com/kslmag7/riskreward.html) Tony h/c, tony backstory overall angst AND Tony/Gibbs slash. What more can you want?

I'm not sure in canon if his mom is dead or not, but *sigh* the things we do find out about his parents

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I read some of Richefic's stories, but not all of them. Thanks :D
... *pouts a little* I'm good with anything Tony-centric, but I do like my Gibbs/Tony slash..

Yeah. Read Risk and Reward and all the other stories by the same author *beams*

I'm not entirely sure, either. I think there's something in canon that says whether she is or not, but I don't remember. Ack.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not on wikipedia (Tony's mom)

btw- not all of that author's stuff is on that page, some stuff is only here: http://www.ncisfiction.com/profile.php?user_id=00016 including a WIP (Playing the odds) and a few episode tags.

Oh and have you read any of thetenthmuses's stuff? Especially (for h/c) Forgiven, not Forgotten (http://www.thetenthmuse1.madbrilliant.com/ncis/standalones/not_forgotten.htm)(although, be warned, some stuff is terribly D/s and not believable)

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Damn it.

Yeah, I know. I like Playing the odds :D Though I'm not a big fan of WIPs. I like finished stories :D

I read some of her stuff and... stopped reading other stuff after the first few words 'cause it just bothered the hell out of me.
And I was actually searching for Forgiven, Not Forgotten just yesterday, so thank you for mentioning that one :D

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
10th muse is frustrating because some of the stuff is so damn good and other is so OOC it's painful

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's definitely true. It's probably the reason I never check her stuff.. it can get really painful. Which is sad 'cause she can do better *sighs*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I think she writes too many fandoms- they all bleed together. (the characters, I mean- just mush together) and some is terribly squicky in my opnion

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Terribly squicky definitely summarises my opinion on some of her stuff as well. But let's not go there, huh?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
absolutely. Have you read any of Blueracoon' (http://blueraccoon.livejournal.com/)s stuff? She also has a website http://rebecca.compromisingpositions.net/ncis/ncis.html
I love her h/c Cold and Wet is my World (http://rebecca.compromisingpositions.net/ncis/elements/01cold.htm)

and randomly- awesome icon

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I read a lot of her stuff. Some of it is too heavy BDSM for me, but most of it I really liked. She's a fantastic writer :D

Heh, thanks. I love my city ♥

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah, a little of it is, but I like her look at Tony- slightly damaged and needing reassurance and love

Word. Actually, it took me a long time to make the connection that the Dark Angel guy was Tony. I never watched Dark Angel but I was in my teen magazine years at the time it was on, so there was a lot of pictures and gushing. He looks so different without the scruff.

Now I want a Tony icon. And I have no more icon space, woe.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Tony is such a different character than Logan. And they have fairly different looks to them as well. I guess it says something to how good an actor MW is, to play such different characters so well.

sorry about the icon space :(

[identity profile] awanderingbard.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree. I have seen bits and pieces of Dark Angel when they show reruns on Space and I can see what a transformation it is for him. That was part of the problem with me believing it was the same guy. DiNozzo is so smarmy and 'hail fellow, well met' and stuff and Logan seems more reserved and quiet.

It's my own fault about the icon space. I got a paid account for my icon journal, not knowing that only a few weeks later I would start posting fic and that this one would become the more used one. When the time runs out on my icon one (in June, I think), I'm going to pay for this one. Then there will be much icons and joy.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
a lot of Tony's character that we see is a mask though.. but yes, the characters are still very different.

Maybe you could be looking for interesting icons and store them in your other journal for now? So you could switch them to this one when the time comes?

[identity profile] awanderingbard.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
a lot of Tony's character that we see is a mask though

Oh, true. I didn't mean to imply that Tony is all smarm and joviality. I just mean my initial impressions and the general way that MW can portray both those sides. Though, from what I've seen in interviews (the Season One DVDs I rented went kaput during his, sadly, but from what I saw) it seems that Tony is rather close to MW's own personality.

I really need to see Season Two. I started watching Season Three and then I rented Season One and I still haven't seen Season Two. I should remedy that. So much to watch, so little time.

Excellent idea about storing icons. You're always so sensical. :-)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh I know you didn't. It's just that in a lot of ways I find it frustrating about Tony- because he'll say something so crass I'd want to smack him- or he'll act so childish about something.

Every so often I am.. but I try not to let that side of me come out and play- insane alien donut writer is much more fun
