Virtual Museum Tours and other things
I thought I'd pass on The Ultimate Guide to Virtual Museum Resources, E-Learning, and Online Collections which is a huge list of dozens of museums offering virtual guides, portals to their collections, online exhibits as well as various e-learning options (some general, some gears towards kids) and digital libraries, archives and online collections.
I don't knit, but there's a collection of various offers for not normally free patterns collected here.
Crafting-wise I made another string bag. I'm uncertain about this pattern and it needed a ton of stretching out (putting cans in it for days) to get the proper shape so I've started yet another one. Not sure why I always take a pic with bananas in them, but whatever.

I finally finished the denim braided rug I started probably probably 12-15 years ago (it's about 28"x28").

Braiding is fun but the lacing together is really annoying so after I finish my other started one I don't know if I'll ever make one again especially since I've discovered this knotting technique which is so easy and quick to make. I've also done three more recently. The first two were from 30+ years old fitted twin sheets in crappy condition (they were white with a flower pattern but come out interestingly mottled or something) and the third from fabric strips I'd cut for braiding rugs with well over a decade ago (it resulted in a bit of a messier, more rustic look but still worked I think).

Also, I've been reblogging a ton of cute animal pictures on my tumblr is anyone needs a pick-me-up.
