multifandomdrabble and battleshipex are almost over, both are really fun exchanges (multifandomdrabble is probably self-explanatory but battleship is a 300 word min/or art exchange with a battleship {the kids game} theme where you are assigned a team and there's a board where X number of fics with various tags are on it and you try to have your team write enough of each of those tags to "fire" on one of the squares and hopefully hit or sink a ship). Summary: During the guest disciples' stay in Cloud Recesses young Lan Zhan gets turned into a cat by a curse from an unexpected source. Wei Wuxian tries his best to help, after he is done laughing. The end result is a surprising one for everyone but Lan Xichen. (absolutely sweet fic and the WWX interacts with cat!LWJ is utterly adorable)

Summary: “The esteemed Hanguang-Jun, always where the chaos is,” Wei Ying says and manages, somehow, to inject some levity into it. “Not even I can be selfish enough to keep him from that.” Wei Ying gives himself two weeks to convince Lan Zhan to run away with him. Set in episode 50. (a lovely filler to some missing scenes in e50 with a bonus JC and WWX interaction)
finding a long lost friend by MarbleGlove (2k, technically 2nd in a series but works as a stand alone. The entire series is only 6k though and a good read as well)
Summary: The painting was a puzzle. It was a portrait of the Sunshot Campaign leaders as they had truly been, drawn by someone who must have been there. It was a painting by an artist who knew the people well and yet was blind to the political repercussions of being too truthful. It was a beautiful painting and XiChen was glad to have it but also knew it would need to be moved to the forbidden section of the library soon. (AU that takes place years after the raid on the burial mounds that resulted in the Wen remnants disappearance and WWX's presumed death when a young rogue cultivator, Wei Sizhui, comes to Gusu and asks to study there; I love the description of the painting and LXC and LWJ's reactions to it)

Ugh, that is so many, I need to remember to crosspost more often.
I finished (aka ran out of yarn) crocheting a blanket for daughter. It wound up weirdly shaped (a little over 5' x 2.5'). Wasn't thrilled with the size but she's fine with it so whatever.
I'm working on a rug from an old sheet I dyed. The blue is lighter than I'd hoped, but it is enough to hide the weird pattern from the sheet so that's good.
After finishing Ultimate Note I finished watching Lost Tomb (tlt1, the original show) which has characters meeting each other and, of course, a different cast than every other version. Not sure what to watch next. Might try Lost Tomb 2 since apparently a sequel to that is coming out soon (which will fall after tlt2 but before ultimate note). The timeline of this canon and lack of consistent story telling confuses me so much. Or might watch something else from my huge to-watch list (C/Kdrama or otherwise). As an aside, I really do wish subtitles would be more accurate when it comes to names/titles. We can understand if the same character is sometimes called (to use one example) Jiang Yanli, A-li, A-jie, and Shijie. When different characters use different names it adds layer to their interactions and the characterization. SIGH.
Still plugging away at Spanish, Yiddish and Chinese on Duolingo and also Chinese on a handful of other apps. I don't think I'll get far since I'm *awful* at languages, but I figure, why not try?
