Because I am insane...

I have signed up for the bronze challenge at [profile] paliphrase  where you write in for the same prompt in ten different fandoms.  *eep*  I chose the prompt "pensive" because I can write deep, thinky stories... but ten fandoms?  What was I thinking?!?!?

I'm not sure I could read fanfic without having watched the show at all. Although, I have to admit, I like "House" fanfic better than the show, but I have seen a bunch of episodes.

I can and I have and I will - and I like it. It does take a character to catch my eye, but once that's done? It's easy. Like, I started reading Lindsey fiction 'cause I like Chris Kane so much and I talked to [livejournal.com profile] unfeathered and she told me a few of the pictures I'd made icons from where actually from the show, Angel, and that sort of triggered it. And I started reading NCIS fiction 'cause one girl, [livejournal.com profile] luthien82 asked for Tony icons - I'd never heard of Tony at that point - and I looked him up and thought he was pretty and ended up reading fiction and that convinced me to watch the show. I really do that a lot. I think it's mainly because, hell. I can't just turn on the TV and watch a show and decide if I like it or not. I have to go out of my way to be able to watch any show at all (since I refuse to watch German TV, but it's not my fault that it's just so ridiculously bad, is it?), so it's much easier to read fanfiction first *waves hand around vaguely* If that makes sense?

it makes perfect sense to me! :) Although if the first few fics you read were ooc that might lead to problems

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-28 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
well, yeah. but usually, fiction that is ooc tends to be of rather... poor quality. so it's not too hard to avoid those.

true.

Hey- would you be up for taking a look at my logan/jack if I emailed it to you?

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-28 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Wheee, of course! As long as you don't expect in-depth comments or an actual beta. But an overlook and squee and an overall comment? I'm so there :D Have my e-mail or want it again?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-28 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
a general overlook is all I need. It's winging its way to you now. thanks!
