Oh the weather outside is(n't) frightful....
Thank you whoever gifted me a month of paid time for my Dreamwidth account! I've never had a paid account here so I'm looking forward to checking out how it's different.
It looks like Chocolate Box isn't running again this year so, despite the original plan of it being a once-off,candyheartsex (Candy Hearts Exchange) will be running again. It's for & and / relationships and small commitment - 300 word fic or piece of original art and is currently in nominations. Neither Chocolate Box nor Candy Hearts are something I tend to signup for, but I often do try to treat. They're nice, low intensity exchanges if you're looking for something like that.
The weather here has been nuts - insanely warm. It hasn't even gone below freezing for a few days and it's unlikely there'll be any snow before the new year. There have only been two snowfalls all winter so far and both were of the 'eh, I supposed I should shovel but it's really just an easy push off the path' kind of accumulation. The first was in October! October! So I *thought* we were in for another bad year (last year was the 3rd snowiest in recorded history) but that's looking less and less likely. Not that I am complaining, it's just weird.

He promptly proves this by disappearing without a trace from the Cloud Recesses, in the middle of the Lectures. But when war is on the horizon and tensions boil over, can his actions really be summarized as a simple prank? Or, the unbelievable story of Wei Wuxian, time traveller, told from everyone's point of view but his.
Summary snippet of second fic: In which we finally know what Wei Wuxian was thinking when he left the Cloud Recesses. (Time travel fics from the perspective of everyone other than the time traveler are always great and the first one in this series cycles through various POVs of those who are caught up in the events and trying to figure them out while the second provides an alternating look at the beginning via the time traveler, WWX's perspective. Note: while not bashing, neither fic is Madame Yu nor Jiang Cheng friendly)

Sad to see Chocobox isn't running again, but I'm glad a new candy treat exchnge has come on the scene to take its place.
